How to run your site

Short, numbered steps. If anything does not match what you see, email [email protected] and we will sort it out.

Sign in to see your progress

Come back any time at kahuga.com/login to see your progress and mockup.

  1. Go to kahuga.com/login.
  2. Type the email address you used when you signed up, and click Send me a code.
  3. Open your email. Look for a message with a short code. Check spam if you cannot find it.
  4. Type the code on the sign-in page and click Sign in. Codes only work for a few minutes, so ask for a new one if it has expired.
  5. You will see your project: where it is up to, your mockup, and our messages.
  6. To leave a comment on your mockup, scroll to Messages, type your note, add a screenshot if you like, and click Send.

No password to remember. If you see "Nothing found for this email", sign out and try the address you used on the form.

Log in to your editor

  1. Look in your email for an invite from Kahuga. Check spam if you cannot find it.
  2. Click the button in the invite.
  3. Choose a password and save it.
  4. Next time, go to your site's address and add /admin to the end. For example: yourname.com/admin.
  5. Sign in with your email and that password.

Edit text and photos

  1. Log in to your editor.
  2. Click the page you want to change in the list on the left.
  3. Click into any text box and type your changes.
  4. To change a photo: click the photo, click Replace (or Upload), and pick a photo from your computer or phone.
  5. Add a short description of the photo in the Alt text box. This helps people who use screen readers.
  6. Your changes save as you go. They are not on your live site until you publish.

Add a new page

  1. Log in to your editor.
  2. Click Pages in the list on the left.
  3. Click the plus (+) or Create button.
  4. Type a title. The page address fills in from the title.
  5. Click Add section and pick one, such as Text, Photo banner or Gallery. Add as many as you like.
  6. Fill in each section.
  7. Publish (see below). If you want the page in your site's menu, tell us and we will add it.

Publish, and how long it takes

  1. When you are happy with your changes, click Publish at the bottom of the editor.
  2. Wait about a minute.
  3. Open your site in a new tab and refresh the page. Your changes are live.
  4. Still seeing the old version after five minutes? Refresh again, then email us.
